Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service (RACES)The Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service (RACES) was set up by the FCC to help government organizations and amateur radio operators to interact in a formal and reliable manner under emergency conditions. RACES members are registered with a local government entity responsible for the planning and managing of all local emergencies. In Dallas, this is through the City of Dallas Emergency
Management Coordinator and in Dallas County through the Dallas County Fire
Marshal. By FCC rules, only RACES
members may participate in RACES nets. |

For higher power rigs, high-amperage DC power supplies and bus-wiring, the
Anderson Power Pole is the emerging national ARES/RACES power connector
standard. The APP is genderless, so you don't need adapters.
For more information, go the the DARC Anderson Power Pole Instruction Page. |
