Every week, we check about 15 amateur radio club websites and announce usually three to sixhamradio public service events and interesting speakers.  You are invited to bring your club's announcements each week.

We have learned about many useful resources, including Handiham, with information on rigs useful for visually impaired hams such as the Kenwood TS480 for low band, including Morse Code, and Kenwood Tmv71A dual band for two meter and 70 cm.

We are making a place for you new hams to get on the air, and you experienced hams to talk with them.  Many experienced hams talk to with buddies, and if happenstance strikes, a new ham might listen in.  But happenstance is not predictable.

We want hams to have fun, and to learn, in your shacks so we invite questions and comments. It helps when hams take a moment to mention anything of interest -- one lesson learned, or one fact or observation or problem encountered are welcome.  We bring a few paragraphs of a short article on breaking scientific news or current public events when available.

We are encouraging you hams to get out of the house and get involved with local amateur radio clubs. We hope you will get in your cars and drive to meet hams you don't yet know, or find old friends you might have misplaced.
We're small and may have 12 to 15 check-ins.  But since we started this past March, we've had over 100 unique callsigns, and email saying:  I never check in but enjoy hearing about area activities. We know people are listening for news of club activities.  Keep us in mind for your announcements, for your lessons learned, and for your "I wonder if anyone knows what to do to fix that?"!
