The following items have been donated to the club for the benefit of the club and it's members.
It was decided rather than sell the items for the best price (benefitting only the club), it would be a good member benefit to offer the items at a discount off of easily verifiable 'market' prices. Estimated values were made from recently completed eBay Auctions - admittedly high, but certainly a verifiable, fair market value.
The board decided to give members a 33% discounted price from the eBay price - as a benefit to individual members. In this way, the full intent of the donors of the gear is satisfied: both the club and it's members benefit, as the club nets 66% of a 'fair market' value, and members gain (by saving) 33% - not to mention shipping. The board hopes or intends that members will use the benefit to outfit themselves with some good, used amateur gear rather than 'reap' the profit by turning the item(s) around on eBay, but ultimately the member may do what he or she wishes with their purchase.
Items are for sale FIRST TO MEMBERS ONLY. After 30 days or so, unsold items will then be made available to the public via eBay or at a W5FC table at a local hamfest. At that point the club discount is off and 'fair market value' prevails.
